About Me

What I love about light is the absence of it.

Fancy cameras and rigs are just tools like brushes and paint, but light–and how it plays with nature’s elements–ah, that is all there is to it.

For over a decade now, I have worn many hats in the broadcast media industry and found my niche in filmmaking and video production with my fascination to lighting and cinematography. I produce videos and create jobs with my film production garage. I team up with other filmmakers in making short and feature films, provide filming support for production outfits, mostly in Europe, and I cover current affairs in the Philippines and neighboring countries, freelance, primarily for RUPTLY, an international news agency under Emmy-nominated RT News network. I am a never-graduating film student, a journalist, a family man, a rider and an ally of nature. I usually chase storms and gather news on a Kawasaki Rouser 200cc naked sports bike and at least once a year, I join a high-altitude tourist leg motorcycle race in the historical place Bessang Pass which is located somewhere between the Mountain Province and Ilocos Sur, Philippines.

As a content creator, I believe in three things: learning, sharing and collaboration.

My favorite quote:

“Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”

– Abraham Lincoln
